The
18th Annual 2CV London To Brighton run was held on June 2nd 2002
The
starting point was the Grasshoppers Rugby Club, Isleworth, Middlesex
The
Theme was - “CHILDHOOD CHARACTERS” and there were prizes for best-dressed
car, for the best dressed adult and the best dressed child

Hove Park
After
two convoys numbering over a hundred cars which included a drive
along Brighton seafront the London to Brighton event continued
at Hove Park with lunch, games, entertainment, Club shop and trade
stands from midday onwards. Games and activities for adults and
children.
The
weather was perfect and we all enjoyed a super picnic lunch
There
were lots of interesting A-series cars to be seen
There
were individuals with cars for sale
and
specialists like, Lee Mason, of Shellshocked from Littlehampton
had a pitch
ECAS,
the superb spare parts stockists had their usual marquee
Matt
(Soft tops) was there en famille
There
was a brilliant shop selling a wide range of models
Maurice
and Sue Dilley did an excellent job organising the event and representing
the national organisation (2CVGB)
The
specialists covered a wide range of supplies and services
Deauville
cars featured an example of their excellent four seater open tourer
conversion kit
A splendid display showing a successful entrant to
the World Cup Rally.
