Citroen Dyane in rare 'Cuivre Indien' or Indian Copper if you prefer.
The car was purchased a year ago as I had never had a Dyane before, a lot of work has been carried out on the car in the last year to include:

4 x new wheels
new roof
kingpins replaced
new wheel cylinders
new seat covers (from Italy)
plugs, points, condenser
serviced
new drivers sill
new wipers
inside of car fully primed and repainted
new front window rubbers
new visor covers
poolball gear knob (original supplied if preferred)

This lovely example has a galvanised chassis, a good strong engine and a fair set of history dating back quite a while which shows that the car has been looked after.

There is a full years MOT, the bodywork is fair and there are a couple of bits on the body which will require sorting out if you want a pristine example, however, I will continue to potter on with this car until it is sold, so some of the body issues may well be sorted in the coming weeks!

Nearly two grand has been spent on the car since I purchased it and whilst not concourse is in very good order, mechanically with a nice interior.

The car is located in Northumberland, I am only selling the car so I can use the money to put my 2cv back on the road which needs a fair bit of cash spending on it for its MOT!

For sale 2cv in need of total rebuild it is all complete and was built in france. The engine runs like a clock so obviously has been looked after.. It is near Exeter down in Devon.. so if you fancy rebuilding one yourself this is the one to go for as fully rebuilt they sell for a small fortune now..

Back from France and not returning this year.

LHD 2CV6, Initially registered and used in Belgium by original owner before moving back to Uk, and being garaged for several years until 2007. One other owner between him and me.

Great runner, one of the nippiest I have driven. Started first time after four months in garage this winter.

Resprayed in 2009, good tyres and genuine 47900 kilometres on clock - speedo calibrated in kph naturally. Solid chassis, floor etc - not perfect but very tidy and reliable.

1988 Citroen 2cv Special ...actually very special.

Obelix has a Good Galvo chassis (I am not sure when it was installed but would guess a couple of years old now) and new floors, Cills, A, B & C posts (2008) and was sprayed in snazzy non standard Purple. He always turns heads.

Just over 100k on the clock, with MOT to 15th June 2011 Just serviced.

I have some of the original Service history, manual and documents with many Mots back to 2001.

He has a sporty wooden steering wheel, new roof, 2 new tyres (less that 2,000 miles), new seat covers chrome effect headlights, & tubular bumpers and loads more-Loads of money has been spent on Obelix.

Obelix is a good honest 2cv, looking for a new owner, and a good home, as i don’t have the time to use him fully as he should be.

2CV Pickup

Featured in January 2007 issue 2CVGB News (Pages 48 to 51).

This car is properly registered with DVLA as a 2CV Pick-up.
Taxed 31/10/2011 and MOT 27/01/2011

Just coming up to 100,000 miles but like George Washington’s axe, that had had ten new heads and twenty new shafts, the mileage is somewhat academic as apart from the axels and springs (coated with black Hammerite) which seem to last forever most of it has been replaced or rebuilt with new or reconditioned parts as itemized below.

Built in 2004 on a 1982 Charleston saloon and in very good all round condition. It has:-

A new galvanized chassis with a low mileage engine (It had done approximately 49000 miles when fitted).

Many new or reconditioned parts including new front discs and pads: new side silencer: new headlamps and reflectors: Air horns: alloy bumpers: plastic cover over the rear deck which has two lockable storage areas: all the wheels were sandblasted and finished in red Hammerite: good set of matching tyres fitted.

Two new Kingpins fitted for latest MOT

Extra bits that have been sourced or done, period alloy grill with stainless steel mesh: lockable filler cap: plastic glove box ends, all indicator lamps connected i.e. main beam indicators, hazard warning and turn indicators.

Two spots fitted but not yet connected. New chrome trim for rear window not yet fitted. Must have the best heater of any 2CV as it only has to heat the cab area, a real plus if using in the winter!

2CV Rico Van

This car is properly registered with DVLA as a 2CV Van.

Built by Rico on a new galvanized chassis in 2000 at a cost of £4600 (bills available). She was also fitted with Rico seats with headrests at the time of the build. Originally registration year 1985.

MOT 1/2/2011, Tax 31/08/2010, Mileage 85000.

She has had an engine overhaul costing over £600 a few years ago and a new clutch more recently. Electronic ignition.

Since I acquired her I have had a body off rebuild with new floors, sills and inner and outer toe boards. Just had four brand new tyres fitted and the wheels sprayed with black Hammerite. In all over £900 spent.

The Rico is much sought after as the rear van section is all fiberglass as is the bonnet and cab top, so much less left to rust!

1985 French built Black and Yellow Charleston .
it has been used for my daily commute to work for just over 2 years and has been very reliable and economical. I bought it off a friend of mine and he drove it daily to London and back for a couple of years before I bought it off him. The mileage is 89600 and I believe it to be correct. Took 3 of us camping with full camping gear to the Czech Republic for the world meeting last year, did over 2000 miles in 2 weeks and had a great time, have included a photo of car by river in Prague. This is a very nice solid and reliable little car. Boot box is not included.

1986 Citroen 2cv6 Blueberries and Cream.

This car I have had since last Christmas and I was and am still very pleased with it but a new addtion to the family, a dog, means I need something a bit more dog friendly. Sadly "Perry" needs to go. She came from Herefordshire and I thought that "Cider" was less appropriate when naming her.. as one does with these amazing cars.

She only had 44,000 miles on the clock then and has taken me to and from work and to Champagne where the locals loved her! She has done 5,000 miles trouble free motoring.

What I really like about this car is;

1. Low mileage example of an intact and unaltered character vehicle. Original chassis.
2. Body work in good condition, much better than you'd expect from a girl of 26 years old.
3. The dinks and knocks.. there are 1 or 2 but aren't that obvious and there is very little rust presently.
4. She has a great history of being with only 1 family originally and the documentation that goes with it.
5. I added a passenger wing mirror from a French CV and had here clutch replaced and serviced by Rick Meyer. He told me not to alter it when he saw it.
6. The hood is only a few years (3 I think) old.

She has road tax til the end of November and MOT due up mid November. She may need a little cosmetic work if you want her to be more perfect or even the full monty with a refurb.

Full stainless exhaust, recent undersealing and rust treatment. Alloy wheels, good tyres. Rarer porthole version with rear folding seat and 5 year old acrylic canvas roof (no shrinkage, its what matt uses for his 2CV hoods).

Citroen 2 CV Pickup 1990 602cc

Rebuilt by Silly CV's in approx 2001. It has a long wheel based galvanised chassis.

The load is mahogany and ash (expensive)

It was done as a show piece.

For sale is my 1985 Citroen 2 CV6 Special, which has been rebuilt onto a new galvanised chassis, with new inner and outer bulk heads, front to back floor pans and inner rear wing panels/seat belt anchor plates. This rebuild has covered all of the common rotting points of the 2cv, which now means the car is structurally sound. The rebuild has also included the overhaul of the running gear, including new break components. The engine has also been overhauled, including new piston rings, gaskets, points, oil filter, spark plugs, etc. During the engine rebuild, the carburettor was also stripped, cleaned, and rebuilt.

There is some service history available with the car, most of which covers work from the past 10 years, but also various pieces from the 90’s. The car has done 85 000 miles and 6 months tax will be included with the sale.

This was my 1st car, that I have owned now for almost 10 years. Though for the past 3 years it has been dry stored and only occasionally taken out for a bit of tlc. It is now regrettably time to sell up, as i am off traveling at the end of the summer and it seems a shame to have it collecting more dust.

Overall this is a very solid 2cv, that retains much of it’s original character and drives superbly. It sailed through the MOT without any problems, and is now ready to be enjoyed once again.
